The K3002 (D8302) Series of proximity reader is vandal-resistant and

made from durable, 14 gauge (1.9 mm), stainless steel. When you install a

K3002 Reader, you can surface mount it with tamper resistant screws.

Each reader serves one access point.

Features

Five programmable output formats (Readykey keyPAC (default),

Wiegand 26-bit, Wiegand 34-bit, magnetic stripe, or barcode)

LED indicator

Suitable for interior or exterior installations

K3002-Series reads K3000-Series credentials

D8302 requires D8338 or D8339 credentials

Connection Considerations

Use a six-wire cable for applications with a door contact and a

request-to-exit device.

K3002 - If you use 18 AWG (1.2 mm) wire, you can place the reader up

to 3000 ft (914 m) away from the door controller.

D8302 - If you use 18 AWG (1.2 mm) wire, you can place the reader

up to 500 ft (152 m) away from the door controller or control panel
