Perform the following steps to find and set the addresses for the TXB-B board and the Pelco unit.

1. Refer to Table C on page 26 to find the TXB-B address (block number). Select the block range that

contains the receiver address. The block number for the block range is the address for the TXB-B

translator board.

Example: To find the TXB-B address when the receiver address is 131:

a. Find the block range for 131 in Table C. This value is between 129 (low) and 255 (high).

b. The block number for the 129 to 255 range is 1. Therefore, the address for the TXB-B

translator board is 1.

2. Refer to Table D on page 27 to find the Pelco unit address. Select the column that corresponds to

the TXB-B address. Locate the row in the column that contains the receiver address. The row

number is the unit address.

Example: To find the Pelco unit address when the receiver address is 131:

a. Use step 1 to determine the TXB-B address. In this case, the address is 1.

b. Search for the receiver address in the column under 1 in Table D, in this case 131.

c. The 131 address appears in row 3. Therefore, the Pelco unit address is 3.

3. Refer to Table E on page 43 to set the DIP switches for the TXB-B address and the Pelco unit

address.

Example: To find the address settings when the receiver address is 131:

a. Use step 1 to determine the TXB-B address. In this case, the address is 1.

b. Use step 2 to determine the Pelco unit address. In this case, the unit address is 3.

c. Locate the row in Table E that corresponds to the Pelco unit address. In this case, row 4

corresponds to unit address 3.

d. Identify the switch settings for the unit address. The switch settings for address 3 are: ON,

ON, OFF, OFF, OFF, OFF, OFF, OFF.

e. Set these switches on the Pelco unit.

NOTES:

• The TXB-B translator board uses the same address switch position settings as the Pelco unit.

• Receiver addresses that are divisible by 128 (such as 0, 128, 256, 384) are reserved and may not be

used.
